Neuromuscular Massage uses a variety of techniques to address muscle and fascia tension, restricted range of motion and chronic pain. Techniques may include myofascial release, cupping, METs (muscle energy techniques) hot stones, and others. Each massage is custom for what the client needs that session.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy.” This healing energy flows through the practitioner’s hands to the recipient. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.
Muscle pain and tension can be caused by adhesion between the layers of muscle, fascia (fibrous connective tissue), adipose tissue and skin. Massage cups lift the layers of tissue into the cup and when the cups are moved around the adhesion is loosened.
Cupping increases the blood supply to the area, bringing oxygen and nutrients to facilitate muscle relaxation and healing.
